    For the common cold we don't recommend over-the-counter cold and cough treatments. The studies have shown six years and under the over-the-counter cold and cough medicines do not work.

    They're not effective and they actually can cause some side effects like heart rhythm problems.

    Our mainstay of treatment is still the suctioning; the saline and then a cool-mist humidifier can really help with that common cold.​
